Installing SSL Cert confirmation

Forum:
Tags:

Hi,

This should be a quick one.  I have TKL Hub, EC2 with an Elastic IP running the Wordpress appliance.

I want to add a SSL cert for our wordpress site.  I found the following link back in 2010:

http://www.turnkeylinux.org/blog/ssl-certificates

Is this page along with the steps is applicable for what I need to follow to get an SSL cert installed on the TKL appliance?  I didn't see any option on our TKL web admin page.

2 passwords in sencha-12.0

hi~

I've recently found 2 passwords in the source code of sencha-12.0.

one is "I7aUlKKVtAUececg" in turnkey-sencha-12.0-squeeze-x86-xen\etc\mysql\debian.cnf

the other is "ZeoJDU8l6a7X" in turnkey-sencha-12.0-squeeze-x86-xen\etc\phpmyadmin\config-db.php

is this a security bug?

Console output: The disk drive for /dev/sda3 is not ready yet or not present.

Hi,

Google noticed that my server stopped responding to robots.txt in the past 24-48 hours.

No response on either web console (ports 12320 and 12321 are not responding).

No web server is running at all!  SSH is running but is useless as no console access is available.

Looking at THub Console I see this at the bottom:

Recent Apache Upgrade?

Forum:

Hi,

Can you confirm if a recent apache update was applied to all appliances? (last 2 days)

Reason for asking is my HTTPS access on the appliance stopped working recently, and when troubleshooting noticed that apache would not start, complaining that "SSLLog" directive was no longer supported.  Once commented out of the config file, apache started no problem.

Just trying to get to the bottom of the issue/downtime.

Thanks,

Chris

Resetting password on hub with account created by OpenID

Forum:
Tags:

I created a Turnkey Hub account using an OpenID provider.  Now I'd like to transfer the account to another user, and dissassociate the OpenID account.

It seems I don't need to reenter credentials to change the email address (when logged into to view https://hub.turnkeylinux.org/profile/) but I do for the password.

How can I reset the password (that I don't recall ever setting)?  This, really, is part of a bigger question I'm trying to answer:

Hi,

I am new to openldap but I succeeded in configuring a ldap server on a squeeze machine.

I have access to it through phpldapadmin and I could create some items.

The thing I don't understand is how to configure a user that has access only to a part of the tree, I tried following :

Turnkey Linux Twiki

Forum:

I'm having trouble with the smtp server which is meant to be already set up and ready to go according to Turnkey documentation.

Getting error - missing 'From:' at /var/www/twiki/lib/TWiki/Net.pm line 450.

Also, when I go to Twiki configure, my password is not working. Is it looking for the one generated on first starting the instance? If so, I have stopped and restarted instance in meantime, so I cannot retrieve it anymore. Do I need to FTP in to reset the password?

Thanks.

Unable to apt-get update

Forum:

Hello, I've been constantly getting the following error for the past 6 months while trying to update our system. After googling a bit, it seems that it could be a proxy or network "problem" on our campus. If so, is there any mirror for http://archive.turnkeylinux.org/debian ? Or is there another explanation to this problem ?

Unable to login

Forum:

I just joined a subscription for Turnkey Tomcat and I cannot login to any of my accounts.

I managed to retrieve the randomly generated password but I cannot login to SSH nor to any one of the hub services: Webmin, Tomcat Admin, Shell or Virtual host.

They all tell me my credentials are incorrect.

Not sure what to do now.

Any suggestions?

Turnkeylinux ip/url access not showing up

Forum:

Hi everyone,

First, let me say that I deployed a turnkeylinux file server 18 months ago as far as I can recall.. Since then, I left it behind since files are still accessible via the local network.

Now my problem is that the ip/url access from a url or browser shows up differently and I never bothered to fix. However, now requirements have changed and I need to add access so that staff can connect remotely.

If I go to x.x.x.x/index.lighttpd.html then this is what I get :
