I am having a nagging problem with the TKL-Wordpress appliance. I downloaded the latest version and installed it on my VMware ESXi 5.1.0 server. There were a few steps that I had to go through, but I got it running without much difficulty. Networking was the biggest hitch, and I ended up deleting the NIC and recreating it, which seemed to solve the issue I was having. The server is now accessible externally (off the local network), and all the features (Wordpress, Webmin, phpAdmin, Shell, etc.) work as expected.
Am I missing something about the Turnkey Hub pricing? I am interested in putting Turnkey's Wordpress on Amazon's cloud...just for "playing around". The Hobby Pricing screenshot below indicates that the price will be reasonalble...Yes, I know it will not be $0/month.
I really like the fileserver appliance (turnkey-fileserver-12.0-squeeze-x86.iso) with the ajax interface and all, and because I want to manage my users more effective I like like the authentication and authorization been done by the ldapserver appliance (ldapserver as turnkey-openldap-12.0-squeeze-x86.iso)
Has anybody tried anything like this? Any ideas how this could be done best?
I am having trouble with FTP on Wordpress with Turnkey: I cannot update Wordpress or install new themes. It seems to boil down to FTP. I just cannot get it working.
Hello. I am trying to install a second WordPress installation on the appliance. I do not want to run multisites, I want to host more than one WordPress site with a separate directory and database. I have successfully set this up on other linux servers, however I am having a difficult time with this appliance, I am assuming because I am not so familiar with Debian.
My company have been building a turnkey appliance for the last few weeks. I have a vm setup with a turnkey-core install on it with tklpatch that I use to build the iso images as we iterate through out initial build.
Hi, I have a new Joomla 3.0 website on a TKL Debian 6 Squeeze. When I try to upload any component through Joomla BackEnd, it doesnt allow to save and modify anything. I thing that this is a permission issue. If not, please tell me how to fix this. I send you another image where you can see the permissions on both, the carpet (DIF) and files created. Is the owner involved in order to allow/denie the saving and deleting files and directories? How can I change the owner from: root:root to: www-data:www-data to whole website???
