Getting BackupBuddy FTP to work

Forum:

Greetings,

I have recently setup and installed a Turnkey Wordpress .iso device and transferred an exsting wordpress site to the server.

Everything appears to be working with the exception that Backupbuddy cannot connect to the external FTP destination (on another server) to transfer the copy of the backup that is created.

This function was working fine prior to transfer to the Turnkey Wordpress device.

Everything I have found in my searches so far either has to do with other FTP issues, or a review that just states it will be very difficult to do.

As asked by Guillaume via email:
I noticed my incremental backups started being bigger than they used to a few weeks ago. How would you suggest I see what's included in each daily file?

You can see what is in your current backup by either simulating the backup (it runs the first part of the backup but doesn't upload it); or doing a backup dump. FWIW this is all documented on the tklbam-backup man page (within the TKLBAM docs).

rtorrent 14.1

Forum:

First I want to congratulate you about resolving the bug. 14.1 works perfectly.

I need some advices. I would like to put on the same range of port the administration and the rtorrent needs of ports. more easy to transfer the webmin port or more easy to transfer the rtorrent ports? where are the configuraiton file of rtorrent on your tempalte by the way? because I couldn't find anything in /etc/rtorrent. it seems that I can't change the ports in the interface, at least it didn't recall my sttings after each reboot.

by the way did you configure something in the iptables ?

MoinMoin Turnkey OVA Unable to login as Admin

Forum:

So I am trying to deploy a pilot wiki for our enterprise using turnkey.

I have deployed TWiki and MoinMoin.

Using Twiki I am able to set the admin password if it is a simple password based on the recommendations from this thread:

https://github.com/turnkeylinux/tracker/issues/206

I prefer MoinMoin but I have deployed the OVA over a dozen times using various passwords including simple and complex and have not been able to login as the admin user.

MySQL server SSL Handshake exception

Hi,

I have recently begun coding an application on Android Studio, I followed a number of tutorials for creating login and registration pages. I set up the TKL mysql server and have been trying to access it from the Android emulators but I seem to be getting the same error over and over again. From what I gather it is to do with the Certificate Authorities for the server. If anyone has a solution to this it would be much appreciated as I am new to the networking side of things and haven't got much experience.

Wordpress appliance - Chewing through RAM

Forum:

Hello there! First of all, you have to excuse my lack of knowledge. Linux is really not my area of expertise which is why I ask for help from people who know much better than I do.

So the story goes, I wanted to host a wordpress site. I found out there is a turnkey wordpress appliance for it, well simple enough I thought. So I downloaded it and imported it to my Virtualbox. Got it up and running without issues and have been using it for a few weeks without a single problem.

Default TurnKey SSL certificate

Forum:

I have migrated from a V13 release of the WordPress appliance to the V14 and also migrated the WordPress site.  I cannot seem to get the default backend (Web Shell - SSH, Webmin, PHP Admin) to use the same certificate as the Wordpress site.  It is a wildcard and while I have added it a couple of time in the Webmin interface and it does show as current, it is not the one being served by the site.  Spent a few hours hacking at issue without success.
