Hi all, especially Jeremy Davis, I have a fairly simple task that trying to grasp LVM is making very difficult. I have an older Windows machine that will be a TKLFileserver with a bit of help. Its based on an older P4 with 2GB ram and three hard drives that are a 250 GB and 2 500 GB. I wanted to use 25 GB of the 250 for the TKL install with the rest of it and the 2 500s as the storage. I thought LVM was going to be my answer but I have been struggling now for a couple of days. It sounded simple enough, like dynamic volumes in Windows but I guess I don't have enough info to go by.
I already have a LAMP Server being used for my intranet site. I would also like to move our messaging in-house but I'm wondering if PHPlist and LAMP will co-exist without fighting with each other. If someone could clue me in or let me know if they have attempted this. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have some very basic questions on upgrading an appliance. I am running on the Lamp appliance Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid and it's time to upgrade to newest. I have no issue with going to Debian.
Sorry to say, I love you guys but the instructions are very cryptic.
Would be great to see Zpanel www.zpanelcp.com a sleek free/open source hosting solution with clean LAMP stack based on Apache 2/ MySQL/ Postfix/ Dovecot and supporting Centos/Ubuntu.
Anyone interested in creating an appliance for an MPOS crypto mining pool? I'd like to give it a go but I haven't attempted this before and having a work group would be great.
I'm a little confused. I signed up and started a Redmine appliance on AWS, and it seems to be working fine. On the turnkey main page, it's says I'm 46% complete, next step is to Enable storage on Amazon S3, and then Backup Any Turnkey Appliance. So my question is, why do I want/need to backup the Appliance? Doesn't AWS do that for me? Or do they just say, "Great, you're running a server on our cloud, good luck with that, if it crashes your data is lost"?
I have created a new account with PHPAdmin and a new database
I am attempting to connect using simple PHP connect script, but it fails with new database.
I can log in through PHP web admin and see account and database. (Text password works)
My PHP connection script will work if I remove password requirement, and do not use password.
My PHP connection script will work if I log in to wordpress DB if I use credentials and encrypted password from wordpress php wp-config.php. (this is a 32 character string).
