new turnkeylinux + docker appliances

Forum:

1) when is the new turnkeylinux (v 14?) to be expected?

2) I used the docker turnkeylinux and it is great, but I see that every image (lamp, redmine, joomla) is build from another base, which defies the advantages of docker:

Hi, our servers become unresponsive between 8am and 9am Central European Time. It seems the backup process is using all power when viewed with the top tool. We are using the smallest Amazon machines.

Passenger: Web application could not be started

Forum:

I've been using redmine for most of the day ... I left it alone for an hour or two and now when I try log into redmine I get the attached error page.

I can confirm the username / password being used by redmine (as shown in the errortext.txt file) to access its MySQL database is valid (although I'd be really happy to eat my words).

I've modified the database.yml file to be certain that it is being read. It is.

In the database.yml file I have modified the username and password and tested the new values via MySQL Yog on my desktop - fine.

My problem is

MediaWiki Reverted (2.22 to 1.19)

Forum:

I started using TurnKey Hub about a month ago. I manually upgraded the TKL appliance to MediaWiki 1.22 shortly after deploying and life was good. Yesterday the MediaWiki install stopped working, in spite of the fact that there had been no activity for the last few days. I suspect the failure was caused by a security update that was pushed out to my virtual appliance. Unfortunately, the update is to a much lower version of MediaWiki than I was using.

Turnkey Redmine on VBox won't start

Forum:

[ copied from docs page ]

I've just downloaded the latest TKL VMDK for Redmine, and I'm trying to run it in Virtual Box 4.2.  I unpacked the VMDK, and attached it to a new VM, with 1G of RAM and PAE enabled.  It boots grub, and then autoboots to a 3.2.0-4-amd64 kernel (even though my laptop is a Celeron), tells me it's trying to load the initrd, and then hangs there forever.

Upgrading nginx

Hi

I've just installed the TKL AWS 64-bit nginx/FastCGI edition and noticed that the ngonx version is only 1.2.1, which came out 2 years ago (June 5th 2012)

Is there an easy way to upgrade to a newer version, i.e. 1.5 or even 1.6 on Wheezy?

Thanks

GnuTLS recv error (-9): A TLS packet with unexpected length was received

Forum:

TKLBAM backup creation ends with the message: "Could not set backup end record GnuTLS recv error (-9): A TLS packet with unexpected length was received". This happens from both webmin and via SSH.

The backup is created but the TurnkeyLinux hub keeps showing "Backup in progress".
This happens when running a full backup.
The restore of this backup doesn't fully process.

So I am unable to make the full backup for now.

Anybody info on how to deal with this?

Hi Guys

I have a micro redmine application running.

Everythign was fine yesterday. I turned the server off overnight - to save a few cents (?).

This morning, I turned the server back on.

My IP address has changed - OK .. fine

I can't link to dbasics.tklapp.com though. I'm told the site is unavailable. Same for WebMin and the Shell.

I can get into Redmine using teh external IP address though - so all is NOT lost.

I can also access my MySQL databases just fine.

Any ideas why dbasics.tklapp.com doesn't work?

TIA

hubdns/ddns

Forum:

Hi all, I'm a bit confused about the hubdns which I believe is the name of Turnkey's DDNS?

I have it installed on my server (which is a dedicated box, now a virtual box).  And I have read over the usage instructions so I'm fine there.  I'm just confused about where I go to select a dns name.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeremy
