Initial Setup / Virtual Hosts

Forum:

Hello!  I have dug around and not really finding the answers I need...  I have previously been using WAMP and XAMPP and never really had issues with those.  I now have VMware Server running on a Windows 2008 R2 machine.  I have downloaded the TurnKey LAMP Stack appliance and it is up and running and running on my desired IP config.  I can get to the welcome page (3 icons for webmin, phpmyadmin) and all that and getting into the webmin setup, but there's so many options its a little confusing, and externally I get website is unavailable.

Redmine appliance and Mercurial setup to enable SSH push (with MacHG)

Forum:

Few days ago I downloaded the latest Redmine appliance and I was very happy to see all the improvements over the past version. I immediately started to use it with VMFusion on my Mac (yes, I use a Mac).

I wanted to use Redmine and Mercurial to host my small dev projects and eventually put order in a messy development folder.

Trying to install CiviCRM on Drupal 6 appliance...

Forum:

...but I need the password for the pre-configured drupal6 user on the drupal6 database as part of the config for CiviCRM.  I don't recall setting that particular password, and all my guesses have failed.  I don't want to reset the password for the drupal6 user if I can avoid it, as I think that leads to other problems...

Can't install jQuery_UI module in Drupal 6 appliance

Forum:

Hello all,

I've got a nice clean Drupal 6 appliance running in Vbox 4 on my Macbook... having a bit of trouble installing the jQuery_UI module.  When I try to install it, I get the following message in an error box at the top of the Module page:

web management user name

Forum:
Careful, Newbie here :-( Just installed joomla15-11.1-lucid-x86 and it shows running in the aws console. I thought I was carefull noting all the usernames / passwords in the process of signing up for amazon and turnkey. Trying to enter web management I am prompted for a username - I know my root password - but I can't figure out what is supposed to be my username...

2 issues with TKL DokuWiki restore (Mostly Solved)

Forum:

After restoring a small backup to a new instance of the DokuWiki appliance (both v11.1) that I installed on bare metal I encountered the following:

1.) The "docuwiki appliance services" firstboot screen appears after every reboot.

This has to be exited before services will run.

How do I prevent this from occuring?

2.) Webmin will no longer start as the configuration expects to find it in /usr/share/webmin-1.530/, it is in reality in /usr/share/webmin/.

How does the 'dashboard' differentiate between backups?

Forum:

If I have multiple instances of an appliance, say 10 TKL LAMP servers, backing up to my one Hub account, how does the dashboard keep track of which is which?

Does it use the host name or some other criteria?

This is probably a dumb question but very important from the view of managing customers data.

Don

BTW: The several appliances I've tried so far seem solid and professionally done, very nice work.
