Using the WP appliance and I have installed a PHP based app that supports sending email through an external SMTP host such as GMail. Looks like they use a PEAR library to handle it.
I have set all the proper settings according to the app but no mail seems to flow.
I am looking to configure ProcessMaker on the LAMP appliance however it doesn't work with PHP 5.3. How do I downgrade to 5.2? Sorry if this is a newbie question - I don't want to mess up the appliance and all the nice features TKL has configured.
I've installed the acl package on some of the appliances, and the icon appears in the webmin file manager (next to EXT), and whenever I select a file/folder, pressing the EXT or ACL icon gives the error:
"The filesystem / does not support ACLs" or "The filesystem / does not support EXT attributes".
Ok so when I first found out about this place and linux appliances in general I threw up VirtualBox on a Win 03 server and took off...
I have since taken old server HW and thew Ubuntu on there (latest) and VMWare Server (not sure which version).
I have no problems grabbing a new VM and adding it to the server HOWEVER I shut down my VirtualBox machine (Joomla if that matters) and copied the files over and set the permissions (file) properly.
In the case of a tkl appliance acting as a file server how would one recover one users file without affecting others?
Say a user 'fred' deletes a file and a week later discovers that he did so in error and needs it back. (Which happens regularly.)
Say I restore from a backup prior to the date he deleted the file.
Won't restore use the base appliance as a 'template' and restore the entire system to the state it was in at that time, losing ALL changes after that date?
