Hi guys

I need some expert advise regarding best solutions / practices for small office file management.

There are a number of issues I would like to solve:

• Central file location
• File version control
• User privileges
• Central PHP web development
• Cloud file backup

A little background on my current situation:

For the past few days i have been working to integrate our application with TKL, using tklpatch we could successfully create the patched ISO file and depoly the application in a virtual box. But now we need to remove the Live CD Boot option from the boot menu during its installation. I searched a lot for a possible solution, but nothing didnt worked out. I am quite a newbie in python scripting. Requesting any suggestions and helps from all. In btw i m just amazed with the possibilities of Turnkey in providing application deployment facilities, its really wonderful.

For a project that we're too engaged with, students and I are exploring graphing server solutions. We started with rrdtool and quickly found cacti. But a student pointed us toward graphite, and I really didn't want to rediscover how to install every time we wanted to test it. So I've scripted a solution. I suppose they could be build notes toward a TKLPatch. Script on next post.

Hi I am new to Turnkey and would like to use it for my Subsonic Music system  but I don't see any way of loading a .deb file. is anybody using Turnkey with Subsonic?.

Phreeze (http://verysimple.com/products/phreeze/ and http://www.phreeze.com/) is a cool looking php based LAMP framework and App generator that incorporates Backbone.js and Bootstrap (as well as jQuery and some other Javascript stuff).

On my Laptop and a desktop both (XP) I am finding I need to go to Chrome to use Webshell.  I can't type a "-" (dash) on Firefox within the webshell.

Has anyone else had this issue?  Thoughts on how to rectify.  I hate running two browsers.

i'm looking for a file sharing solution with ldap support for authentification, so my users can store their big files that won't fit in mails.

they would log in with their domain account, send their files, and it would generate an URL for download for their client.

it could perhaps have an option to send a mail when upload is complete.

kind of a corporate rapidshare.

would turnkey torrentserver or file server have that kind of features ?

I would like to see Open BlueDragon offered as a new TurnKey Linux virtual appliance. The Jetty/OpenBD bundle would be a user-friendly option with simple configuration to get up and running. Thanks.
