I'm hoping someone here can help me with a joomla hostname resolution dilemma I'm having with a t joomla 1.5 turnkey linux vm installation I have running in my office that I'm trying to deploy soon. Right now I can access the joomla frontpage by the IP address http://192.168.1.227/ but if I change the url to the hostname I'm trying to access it as http://cointranet/ I get an Unable to connect error.
I'm not sure if this is more related to VirtualBox or to TurnKey, but either way I though I'd see if anyone had any thoughts on this. I'm having a problem on a Windows XP Pro Dell 4500 host computer booting a guest of TKL. It's a fresh install of VirtualBox 4.0.4 and I'm using the TKL LAMP stack (although I've tried a few different TKL stacks and they all result in the exact same problem). After doing the Import Appliance and starting the appliance, it opens the window, does a 3, 2, 1, 0 countdown, and then just sits on the black screen with 0 in the corner, using 100% of my CPU.
Using the server app, but this appears to be a basic problem in the core. Using VMWare player, I get an issue I don't in VirtualBox running the exact same VM. Prefer to use VMWare because I have some other machines in it that need real floppy drive access I don't seem to be able to get in VirtualBox.
Hosting on XP Pro 32 bit and using bridged network connection.
I have a development system (TKL drupal6 appliance) running on my macbook in VMware fusion. I tried to sync it with a EC2 instance (I started one for test purposes) . So I backuped my development machine en resored the backup on the Amazon ec2 instance. The results were not what I expected.
I have installed debian and have both webmin and virtualmin running without any big problems.
But now its time to get gallery, fileserver, domain and torrentserver running, but how I try to import its complaining about "Restore failed : The specified source is not a Virtualmin backup : Not a valid tar or tar.gz file"
And no matter how I search I cant find anything about how to import them ..
First, I would like to apologize for my long rambling story. I have been using the Turnkey Wordpress Appliance for almost a year now, and it has been great. Recently, I decided to install vlc-shares (http://code.google.com/p/vlc-shares/) to complement the jinzora installation I have been using along with wordpress. Somehow, after installing the required zend-framework, zend-framework-bin, php5-cli, php5-sqlite, and vlc, apache would not restart.
