I'm new to the TKL hosting on Amazon and after running a basic website for a day I'm really bummed on the cost.  I guess for some reason I expected it to be based on a "usage" hour, not a clock hour.

I'm sure this is good deal for some, but for a small business that just wants a nice website I can't see how this would be cost effective.

I love TKL, but sadly dissapointed with the Amazon hosting offering.

My website has been "Destroyed" and suffered a terrible fate... :)

I'm a newbie to AWS and Turnkey Linux and just setup my first instance this weekend. 

I'm using Google App standard for email and normally never have problem with the verifying ownership process, either with Txt or .Html.  But of course this is the first time I attempted with AWS. 

I updated the DNS/Txt this afternoon and the domain still cannot be verified.  I also uploaded the .html to root and www but that didn't work. 

Can someone point me in the right direction?

First, a huge thank you to everyone working on this project!  Since Zimbra doesn't support TKLBAM, what are people using to back up their Zimbra VM's with?  Currently, I am using Microlite Backup Edge, but was wondering what others are doing.

Of course the ultimate backup would be to use TKLBAM, but that probably wont be possible until the next Zimbra appliance is released.

I have several backups that I have set for Daily Backup.  Everyone of them is telling me the last backup was 1 Day and 9 Hours ago (ie the night before last).  On one of the Systems i just Ran 2 Manual Backups, both of which completed with Zero Errors.

If I run Tklbam-list from Command-Shell Webmin, on the same computer, I am not seeing any new backups (several at 1 day 9 hours ago)

However, If I run tklbam-status I see the most recent backup, a half hour ago.  (tklbam-list and hub though still do not show the backup).

Hi, is there a way to configure the presta shopping cart to submit request for quotation?

After they submit their request for quotation, I can then add items to a cart for them to pay?

I want to throw out the line as to what folks are doing with Security and Optimization on MySQL and TKL sites in general.  I have had a few sites get really hammered by spiders and bots and I'm not really sure the path on how to button the system up.

Some of the details I have found to be setting "log file expirations"..  If you take a year of Logs and keep them in your SQL setup it can be very very large.

At the same time, there are also "repetitive" inputs.  I have seen 1100 searches on the same arcane term in one of our systems.  How to block things like this?

I'm trying to change a few IDE parameters of a drive (like DMA and Standby Timeout) with Webmin. It seems the changes does not stick. What am I doing wrong?

The unfortunate demise of an XP box HD gave me an opportunity to change the way I have my servers/workstations configured. Something that's been on my mind, but now I'm planning on implementing.

So far, I've replace the HD and installed TKL Fileserver. This was easy enough with a Live TKL Fileserver USB stick, so no problem re-doing it again, if needed.

What I'm looking for is feedback if this makes any sense or if there is a better configuration.

[update v0.3] Bugfix - added libx264 from Oneric (download and install debs) to fix issue with ffmpeg not compiling with default libx264 (version too old).
