Update: Revision R with PAE enabled attached. Patch is for phpvirtualbox 4.0-4b: This version includes an excellent authentication mechanism. With this revision done, there is no more need for the default password. Really butchered some python I'm afraid - see the damage in inithooks. Sorry Alon!
As of revision R, phpvirtualbox includes authentication. Until I figure it out, the default username and password are admin.
Would an OpenVPN Turnkey Linux package be available in the near future? In wake of the recent Firesheep incidents, there is an increase of awareness (As well as increased danger) for users who are not using HTTPS while using websites. 'Big' websites such as Gmail and Facebook now have an option for forcing HTTPS sessions after login.
Using a VPN, users can safely surf the web and manage important credential transactions. If I understand correctly, OpenVPN is an open VPN system. (Which we can deduce from the name.)
I was wondering if the patches for the supported appliances are available. I would like to modify some of them to work with the beta Debian core appliance.
I am using the following setup to test various sites on different computers using a single external disk. This allows me to not only ferry the data around (10 GB) between different computers with very different operating systems, I also decoupled the data from the VMs for easy portability and to keep the VMs small. I have had virtual machines crash, lockup and burn with strange errors, especially when moving them around with tons of data. This way, my data stays safe on my external RAID box and the VMs act as pure application containers. If one dies, I replace with another real easily.
What's the best way to get the feel for when a new version of a certain appliance will be out (or at least see what's on the TODO list for the new/next version)?
In particular, I'm wondering when the new Redmine appliance using Redmine 1.1.0 (or maybe even 1.1.1 which should be ready soon) might be released?
I love Turnkey Linux. In fact, I think so highly of it that I intend to use the Drupal appliance as the base for converting my company's 200+ public websites from Windows to Linux. The one fly in the ointment for me is finding an enterprise grade yet cost effective infrastructure on which to house the appliances which also has support.
