The problem with many African elections is that they are rigged by the incumbent. What the people vote for is not what they get. When the people get tired of the one they have they find they cannot get rid of him.
The product is called Mulika (Swahili for to Enlighten or To Shed Light Upon)
Currently it is focused on the Ugandan Elections BUT as the site has been open sourced so it can be used for ALL African Elections
I have been trying to find Web Based Project Management. I downloaded the numerous applianeces from your site that were project management related. I also downloaded Drupal and Joomla, LAMP,LAPP and Core.
In ten minutes or so I had a VMWare running of your appliance. I quickly tested the features. Drupal and Joomla worked as advertised and I added third party extensions to test project management.
With the the LAMP, LAPP and Core, I downloaded other solutions.
Update: TKLPatch for Omeka 1.3.1 is now complete with the help of Rik Goldman. Though I needed lots of support still, I was more confident and independent with this build. Rik did his first proper inithook using Alon and Adrian's models. I have posted the patch, the patched ISO, and the derivitive virtual machines at http://9while9.com .
Comments, suggestions, concerns, and encouragement are welcomed and appreciated.
<UPDATE 08-03-2011> Upgraded Icescrum to 3R#8, and set back jvm settings to 512M hoping grails 1.3.7 addresses the memory leak issues. </UPDATE>
<UPDATE 18-02-2011> I've updated the patch to the latest version of Icescrum and fixed some bugs. Also, the memory requirements for this one have rised a lot, as in my tests this app is memory hungry, maybe because it's using openjdk instead of oracle's jdk, or maybe due to a bug in grails 1.3.6 which causes a memory leak.
I already use Google Apps for work (work email is hosted on Google Apps) and although I like it the task manager leaves a bit to be desired. I now also have an Android phone (HTC Wildfire) which I am very happy with. To help myself get organised I have been using an app called Gtasks which interfaces with and syncs with the Google Apps task manager. It ok but not very flexible.
I have come upon a need for a 20-100 user radius server for a small business. They would prefer it to be in house so they can maintain it.
So I came here as you folks seem to have all the bases covered, with stand alone appliances.
I was hoping to find one, but...
"ZyXEL" has managed to include something of a Radius server in some of their line, but I don't need all that goes with it, though it might beat the price point of what I was thinking, below.
Liraz just sent me an email which I thought I'd share, as well as ask for more ideas. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to describe TurnKey Linux in 160 characters or less.
