v18.0 Stable Release #5 - 20 Updated ISOs & Hub Builds - Proxmox/LXC builds
Finally, following the announcement last week, we're back again with another batch of updated appliances - 20 to announce this time! See here for all v18.x announcements. These 20 updated apps are available now on the TurnKey Hub, as well as downloads as ISOs or Proxmox/LXC builds.
The announcement of 10 of these appliances is well overdue. Half of these have been live and downloadable for some time. The issue is that I have been quite distracted working on other things and while I had drafted the blog announcement for those, I never quite completed and published it.
While there are not that many left to update (a number have been deprecated), it's worth being aware that the next batch will probably be a little while away. That is because we've left the trickiest ones until last.
v18.0 Update batch details
There are a number of bugfixes and improvements in many of these appliances, although the first 10 might not have them all out of the box. For any (in this batch or previously) that don't already include all these updates, most of them should be installable via apt, although at least one (the PHP version change/update script in all appliances that include PHP) isn't. Here they are (in no particular order):
- Ensure hashfile includes URL to public key - closes #1864.
- Include/install webmin-logviewer module by default - closes #1866.
- Upgraded webmin to v2.105.
- Set mod_evasive log location - makes debugging easier.
- TKLBAM: fix fixclock hook bug - closes #1910.
- TKLBAM: MySQL restore from v16.x and earlier failing - closes #1872.
- TKLBAM - PostgreSQL restore failing - closes #1867
- Make using an alternate PHP version easier, via tkl-upgrade-php script - closes #1892.
- As noted in last release: Confconsole - bugfix for LE DNS-01 certificates - closes #1876 & #1895.
Note that some appliances have had upstream (i.e. software provided by third parties) bugs fixed and/or features added. This release includes those by default (all upstream software is updated where available since v17.x).

Give them a try and share your feedback
Any problems with any v18.0 appliances, any of our custom software or other included tools, please feel free to post in our support forums or lodge an issue on our GitHub Issue Tracker.
Both GitHub and our Forums require registered user accounts. GitHub accounts are easy to create and should "just work" (because they have lots of resources and thus advanced spam managment). Unfortunately due to large amounts of spam, the automated website account approval requires manual approval. If you don't have an account and want one, please register for one. Then follow the instructions in the automated account creation email that should be sent out immediately. An alternate option if you have feedback is to do a guest comment here, using the email that you registered with and note that you also want your website account enabled. If you don't want a website account but do have feedback, please just do a guest comment here.
Please note that any guest posts will require manual moderation. so your post won't be visiable until it's approved. So if you can't see your post, that's likely why.
Looking Ahead
This release is a part of our ongoing effort to deliver robust, secure, and flexible server appliances. We're already working on the next batch of updated appliances, but as noted above, the next batch may not be that quick. As always we're guided by your feedback and the evolving needs of all our user base, please do provide feedback - good or bad. Regardless, stay tuned for more updates, and as always, we value your input and support.
Thank you for choosing TurnKey Linux. Happy deployments!

Version 18.x Odoo App
Hi Jeremy,
Any news regarding v18.x Odoo App schedule?
Regards,
Carlos Vercelino
Hi Carlos
Apologies on the delay. Another user has been working on including the OCA scripts (plus include easy Localization support) - but he's having issues with that. So I'll aim to include what we have as is in the next batch.
Thanks for the reply
