v16.0 Stable Release #12 - 9 new appliances & 1 revived (ISOs, Hub, VM & Proxmox builds)

I'm back with another v16.x update. I anticipate that this will be the last v16.0 appliances. I hope to start looking at a v16.1 update/rebuild soon after the holiday period. This time, there are 9 brand new appliances, plus a revival of the Etherpad appliance (last released v14.2!). Just like the previous batches, these v16.0 stable TurnKey Linux appliances are available via the Hub, ISO, VM (OVA/VMDK) and Proxmox/LXC build formats.

As per always, these updated appliances, are all published to our mirror network or they can be launched directly from the Hub. As I noted in my last update, Alon has now updated the Hub to launch "16.x" as default, but for now, the old legacy 15.x appliances are still available (look for the 15.x text link - in the top right corner). They are also available for download direct from their relevant appliance pages (links provided below).

As per convention, I'll first highlight the shiny new appliances (plus Etherpad), but then also list all the v16.x appliances. As noted previously, I have had reports that the OpenStack builds are good to go, but I'm yet to build those.

New v16.0 appliances

• ASP .NET Core - Open source dotNet MVC framework from Microsoft
  .NET Core is the successor to the .NET Framework, it's free and open source provided by Microsoft. ASP.NET Core is the .NET Core version of ASP.NET: a web application framework for developing dynamic web pages with C#.


• Bagisto - Opensource eCommerce platform for all
  Bagisto is a hand tailored E-Commerce framework built on some of the hottest opensource technologies such as Laravel (a PHP framework) and Vue.js (a progressive Javascript framework). Bagisto can help cut down the time and cost of building online stores or migrating from physical stores to the ever demanding online world. Your business - whether large or small - can benefit.


• Drupal 9 - Content Management Framework
  Drupal is an open source content management platform licensed under the GPL. Equipped with a powerful blend of features, Drupal can support a variety of websites ranging from personal blogs, corporate brochures and large community-driven websites. This includes the most recent major version of Drupal, v9. Drupal 8 and Drupal 7 appliances are still available, but not recommended for new Drupal projects.


• Etherpad - Real-time document collaboration
  Etherpad Lite is a real-time collaborative editor, sort of like a web-based multiplayer Notepad that allows groups of users to simultaneously edit a text document, with the ability to display each author's text in their own color. There is also a chat box in the sidebar to allow meta communication. Note this is a v16.0 revival of a previously released appliance (last released for v14.2).


• Faveo Helpdesk - Open Source Helpdesk & Support Ticketing
  Faveo Helpdesk is an automated Helpdesk system to allow you to manage customer support. It is built on the popular Laravel PHP framework. The TurnKey appliance includes the open source Community Edition, but the Faveo developers also offer a number of paid versions (hosted or self hosted).


• GameServer - Host your own game server
  GameServer is a TurnKey GNU/Linux appliance for hosting game servers on Linux. It provides a way of deploying game servers in minutes in cloud environments or local VMs.


• Invoice Ninja - Open Source Invoicing
  Invoice Ninja provides a platform for invoicing, quotes, expenses & time-tracking. It is built on top of Laravel; a well known and highly respected PHP framework, backed by MySQL.


• Leantime - Project Management System
  Leantime is a lean, open source project management system for startups and innovators. It's written in PHP, Javascript; backed by a MySQL (MariaDB) database. Designed to help you manage your projects from ideation to delivery.


• Snipe IT - Open Source Asset Management
  Snipe IT provides a powerful, user friendly asset management system, which your team will love to use. It was designed to enable IT departments big or small to track who has what hardware, when it was purchased, which software licenses apply to it and what accessories are available, and so on.).


• WireGuard® - Next Generation Open Source VPN
  WireGuard® is an extremely simple yet fast and modern VPN that utilizes state-of-the-art cryptography. It aims to be faster, simpler, leaner, and more useful than IPsec, while avoiding the massive headache. It intends to be considerably more performant than OpenVPN.
